Casino smoking ban rejected by House committee7 May 2010BATON ROUGE, Louisiana -- Attempts to expand the Louisiana's smoking ban have failed, The Times-Picayune reported. Legislation has been put on hold that would have forced non smoking areas on riverboat casinos, The Times-Picayune said. The House Bill 1323 met strong resistance from casinos and pubs who feared it may go as far eventually as banning smoking inside bars, the report noted. |
