Casino School Opens in South Jersey27 January 2004NEW JERSEY – As reported by the South Jersey Business: "For all the students he's taught in the last 14 years, Brian Morris likes to think he's handed them a passport on a silver platter. "Now, he and business partner Eric Berry want to extend the opportunity to folks in South Jersey. "They've started the Casino Training Institute, a new business here that aims to teach people the games of craps, blackjack, roulette and baccarat in detail so they can find work as table dealers in casinos. "…Morris and Berry hope to boost the number of residents working at casinos by providing training close to people's homes so they don't have to travel to similar schools in Atlantic City and Pleasantville. "'We're teaching people not just a job, but a trade,' said Morris, the institute's training director, at Friday's grand opening. "…'There's no industry in the world right now, so far as I know, where you can come out of a training program in 22 weeks and make $15 an hour,' Morris said. .." |
