Casino Prostitution Ring Busted

NEW JERSEY – As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer: "An Asian prostitution ring, operated in part from a Philadelphia brothel, conspired with six Atlantic City casino "floor hosts" to sell sexual services to favored gamblers, authorities said Thursday.

"Some high rollers paid $200 or more for the prostitutes, who were imported to the Philadelphia area from Malaysia, then bused to the Shore on weekends, officials said.

"… Coung Chi Dinh is accused of operating a brothel at 24th Street and Washington Avenue in outh Philadelphia and an out-call prostitution service to Atlantic City casino patrons.

"…The government alleged that Dinh, 44, of Brigantine, arranged the trysts with six Shore residents who worked at casinos as hosts or marketing directors - people employed to cozy up to high-dollar gamblers and provide them comps for rooms, meals and shows.

"Authorities declined to identify the casinos, saying they played no role in securing the prostitutes. But state gaming records show that four of the six worked at the Resorts Casino Hotel, Bally's Park Place Casino Hotel, and the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort.

"…According to the indictment, a broker in Asia recruited young women to travel to the United States, promising work as prostitutes. Officials said the broker then directed the women to an agent in the United States, who received a commission for each prostitute placed in a brothel and a percentage of the profits the women earned…"
