Casino project approved in cheery D'Iberville

D'IBERVILLE, Mississippi -- The approval by D'Iberville City Council for the CanCan Casino Resort was greeted literally with cheer, according to The Sun-Herald.

Residents reportedly stood up and yelled when the good news was announced, the report said.

The CanCan already has site approval from the Mississippi Gaming Commission and there's great hope for economic development as a result of establishing the casino, The Sun-Herald report remarked.
