Casino Patrons Exchange Points for Gas

MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut – As reported by the Norwich Bulletin: "There aren't a lot of things people will stand in line for, but these days thousands will line up if it means cheap gas.

"Foxwoods Resort Casino's newest promotion allows patrons to redeem Wampum points for gas cards at Exxon and Mobil.

"Usually the patrons will have to turn in more than one point for $1, but this promotion allows them to get $1 for each point they have.

"…Patrons earn one point for every $90 they gamble at the casino.

"Those points can be used for hotel rooms, dining, entertainment, merchandise and gas cards.

"An estimated three-hour wait in line Tuesday didn't deter Elsie Leaptrott of Norwich from redeeming her points…"
