Casino Panel Visits Blackpool

BLACKPOOL, England – As reported by Blackpool Today: "The Casino Advisory Panel, whose job is to recommend where the UK's first super casino should go, will get its first view of the site earmarked for the resort's £350m gambling mecca.

"…The council's deputy leader Coun Eddie Collett said: 'As a resort we're used to welcoming millions of visitors and we would hope the panel will receive a warm Blackpool welcome wherever they go.

" We're confident we have a very strong bid to win this much sought after regeneration prize. It would bring with it millions of both public and private sector investment enabling the town's economy to vastly improve creating thousands of better paid all-year-round jobs, thereby helping local people to improve the quality of life.'

"…The panel is expected to inspect some of the key regeneration sites in the town including the Southern Gateway, Central Corridor, the Promenade, the Houndshill Centre, the new Enterprise Centre taking shape on Lytham Road and the Talbot Gateway…"
