Casino Owners Fight Over Indiana Market

INDIANA – As reported by the Indianapolis Star: "In this battle of the boats in Gary, the competition for more than $250 million worth of gambling revenue a year pits Don against Donald.

"The two casino czars -- Donald Trump of New York City and Don H. Barden of Detroit -- are quietly fighting over the future of boats.

"Majestic Star and Trump Indiana share a berth in Buffington Harbor, a pavilion and a parking garage. More importantly, they share customers.

"…Barden offered to buy Trump's boat earlier this year, but the mogul's price was too high.

"Barden said he's now thinking of breaking off on his own -- moving his boat across the harbor, building a new grand entry, hotel and convention center…"
