Casino May Face Penalties for Breeding Tigers

QUEENSLAND, Australia -- As reported by ABC (Australia) News: "Queensland authorities are yet to decide whether to penalise a Gold Coast casino for allowing tigers to breed.

"A tigress featured in Conrad Jupiter's stage show had three cubs just over a week ago, but all three of the young have died.

"...The casino has decided to send the surviving cub, and the other tigers, back to Spain when the current production ends.

"...Jim Thomson, from the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, says the casino did not have permission to breed the tigers.

"'Now that they have decided what they are doing we'll decide whether we are going to take any further action in relation to the breach of the permit,' he said..."
