Casino manager says tax increase would be "devastating"

IOWA -- The general manager of Terrible's Casino in Osceola has spoken out against a proposed casino tax increase, Radio Iowa reported.

Bob Thursby said the tax proposal to raise gambling tax to 36% would have a devastating effect on Terrible's Casino, the report said.

The Governor's proposal would rake in $200 million more in tax for the state, Radio Iowa noted.
