Casino food contractor cited for labor violations

NORWICH, Connecticut – As reported by the Norwich Bulletin:"State labor officials say an investigation has uncovered more violations by a Massachusetts contractor who was underpaying dozens of employees at restaurants at Mohegan Sun Casino.

"Adilso Bosi, owner of Tri-State Professional Services of Framingham, Mass., faces 44 felony counts for not paying employees a total of more than $300,000 in overtime wages.

"He is expected to appear Friday in Norwich Superior Court.

"Investigation into Bosi by the state Department of Labor Division of Wage and Workplace Standards was prompted by complaint from an employee at Big Bubba's BBQ. Bosi was charged in July for underpaying, by $17,023, 10 employees at Big Bubba's from Oct. 12, 2003, to Sept. 25, 2005.

"…Investigators allege 125 employees of Tri-State are owed a total of $298,081. The employees were working at Jasper White's Summer Shack, Lucky's Lounge and Michael Jordan's Steak House, all at Mohegan Sun casino…"
