Casino deregulation could see jobs eliminated

8 April 2011

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Jobs such as casino floor supervisors and pit bosses could be a thing of the past if casino deregulation in Atlantic City continues, The Press of Atlantic City reported.

New Jersey has recently been overhauling its gaming laws and the new regulation relaxes certain staffing requirements by, for example, shifting the requirement for table game supervisors to casino managers, the report explained.

However, the regulation also states that casinos are not prohibited from having additional staff as table games supervisors, so casinos may choose to hold onto these jobs, The Press of Atlantic City said.
