Casino Control Commission may see powers cut

5 November 2010

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- A proposed overhaul by the Christie administration would see the authority of the Casino Control Commission (CCC) changed, The Press of Atlantic City reported.

Legislation, currently in draft bill form, would shift much of the CCC regulation duties to the Division Of Gaming Enforcement, the report explained.

The draft bill has not yet been introduced and the idea behind it appears to be cutbacks in the cost of regulation, money that would be used instead to fund the much discussed revitalization plan for Atlantic City, according to The Press of Atlantic City.
