Casino Arizona Executive Sous Chef competes in 'Burger Battle'

20 March 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Casino Arizona's very own Daniel Neil will showcase his culinary skills during the fifth annual Burger Battle on March 24.

Known for his keen eye for detail, the property's executive sous chef will unveil his exclusive dish and vie for the People's Choice and Judge's Choice awards. More than a dozen Valley chefs will battle it out for top honors and all the proceeds will benefit the Scottsdale League for the Arts, along with additional art organizations in the Valley.

"Cooking is my passion and I have a strong devotion to the arts," said Neil. "Combining both interests is a dream come true and I'm thrilled all the funding will go to a good cause. This will be an event for the books and I can't wait to present my creation and see what my peers bring to the table."

The Burger Battle will take place at Hotel Valley Ho from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Attendees will sample the various burgers and select their top picks for the People's Choice Award. The Judge's Choice Award will also be up for grabs and will be determined by a team of local celebrities and culinary specialists. The two award-winning chefs will receive automatic entry into the World Food Championships—an international cooking challenge that will take place in November 2016.

Online general tickets are $65 + a fee and $75 at the door. VIP tickets are $85 + a fee. The all-inclusive event is presented by Leinenkugel's and will include all-you-can-eat burgers, fries, desserts, live music and Leinenkugel's beverages. Must be 21+ to attend.
