Casino Approval Boosts Camerlin

"PETALING JAYA, Malaysia – As reported by the Malaysia Star: "Camerlin Group Bhd shares gained 13 sen, or 7.83%, yesterday to RM1.79 as a reflection of investor interest sparked by news that an associated company has won approval to operate 16 casinos in Britain, analysts said.

"Camerlin shares were among the top five gainers on Bursa Malaysia in the earlier part of the day, reaching a day's high of RM1.87, but falling back to close at RM1.79 as interest switched to other stocks.

"An analyst with a local research house said not much was known about Camerlin group, as it seldom made headlines due its low profile.

"However, he said, one reason for the heightened investor interest could be a recent announcement that its associate company, Singapore-listed BIL International Ltd, had been given the approval to operate 16 casinos in Britain…"
