Carson Nugget Voted Capital's Best Place to Gamble14 August 2001CARSON City, Nevada –August 14, 2001 –As reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal: “For the third year in a row, the Carson Nugget was chosen the best place to gamble in Carson City, according to Nevada Magazine’s annual Best of Nevada readership poll. ”The Carson Nugget also was named the friendliest casino in the capital city, while readers picked the Carson Valley Inn in Minden as winner of the friendliest casino and the best place to gamble in rural Nevada. ”The best hotel/resort title in Carson City went to the Pinon Plaza, and the Carson Valley Inn in Minden took that title for rural Nevada. ”..`After three consecutive years of losing out to southern Nevada, the `Biggest Little City in the World’ finally has been voted the friendliest city in the state. ”…The Peppermill fared well in this year’s survey.
