Canterbury Park Unsure About New Track's Impact20 January 2005MINNESOTA – As reported by the Minneapolis Business Journal: "Canterbury Park Holding Corp. said Thursday that it does not know how a new racetrack in Anoka County will affect the company. "On Wednesday, the Minnesota Racing Commission approved a new harness racetrack in Anoka County's Columbus Township by a vote of 5-3. The new racetrack, owned by Minneapolis-based Southwest Casino Corp. and Chester, W. Va.-based MTR Gaming, will also pursue a license for a card room similar to the one at Canterbury.
