Canadian workers win lottery on day of layoff notice15 August 2011OTTAWA, Ontario -- 18 workers won the lottery, the same day 10 of them were given layoff notices, CBC News reported. The 18 employees work at SMART technologies, a company that has decided to move it's factory to Mexico, the report said. The group collectively won $7 million, approximately $400,000 each, CBC News reported.
