Canadian Track Fined

CANADA – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Canadian harness track Flamboro Downs, which is owned and operated by Magna Entertainment Corp., has been fined $75,244 ($100,000 Canadian) and placed on 12 months' probation for violating security rules by the Ontario Racing Commission.

"The commission charged that the track, specifically, Flamboro Downs Holdings Ltd., allowed unlicensed or unauthorized individuals into the barn area and that the facility failed to provide policed paddock areas and maintain records of people entering or leaving, the Toronto Star reports…"
