Canadian rock band to headline at del Lago Resort

31 July 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Del Lago Resort & Casino is pleased to announce top Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace will take the stage at The Vine on Saturday, 21 October. Tickets go on sale Friday, 4 August at noon and may be purchased in person at the del Lago Resort & Casino box office, by calling the box office at 315-946-1695 or online.

When Mark Van Doren, the American poet and teacher, wrote his famous work, "Our Lady Peace" in 1943, he couldn't have imagined the concept of rock 'n' roll, let alone that a Canadian rock group would adopt his title for their name. Consisting of Raine Maida, Duncan Coutts, and Steve Mazur, Our Lady Peace is one of the most successful bands in Canada today. The band has sold over 5 million albums worldwide, won four JUNO Awards and ten Much Music Video Awards, one of the most MMVA's ever awarded to any artist or group. In 2009, the band released their seventh studio release, titled Burn Burn to critical accolades and was certified Gold in Canada.

The band's most recent album Curve debuted in the Top 10 of Canada's national album sales chart. Curve was recorded with co-producer Jason Lader (Lader's impressive resume includes production work on Jay-Z's "99 Problems," along with Mars Volta, Julian Casablancas, Rilo Kiley, Elvis Costello and Noah & the Whale). The album's first single, "Heavyweight" is charted at #1 on Canada's Mainstream Rock radio airplay chart. The band has been busy working on a new album slated for release later this year.

Just last Friday, del Lago Resort & Casino celebrated its third sold-out show in a row. The Vine hosted Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo in follow-up to two other sold-out performances earlier this month; The Temptations Review which performed on 15 July and Shinedown which took the stage on 21 July.

Guests must be 21 to attend all shows at The Vine. Tickets may be purchased for additional upcoming performances already announced at The Vine, including:
  • Gretchen Wilson: 5 August
  • Buddy Guy: 11 August
