Canadian Report: Half of Teens Gamble

MONTREAL, Quebec – As reported by the CBC News: "Half of Canadian teens gamble for fun, research shows, but many aren't getting the message that they can develop a gambling problem.

"…Research shows half of youths 12 to 17 years old are recreational gamblers and 10 to 15 per cent of them are at risk of developing serious gambling problems. Four to six per cent of them already have a serious problem.

"…While there are ads telling children not to smoke or drink or have unprotected sex, there are none telling kids not to gamble…"
