Canadian Lottery Proposes Online Gambling25 February 2004MONCTON, New Brunswick -- As reported by the CBC: "The Atlantic Lottery Corporation wants to introduce Internet gaming to Maritime gamblers. "President Michelle Carinci says Lotto 6/49, Super 7, and Sports Games could be offered online. She says strict controls would be in place so minors couldn't play. "…Carinci says Atlantic Canadians are already spending up to $20 million a year on Internet gaming. She says most of that money is going to offshore places where there is little protection for consumers…" |
