California Tribe Planning Hotel Expansion

RINCON INDIAN RESERVATION, California – As reported by the Associated Press: "The Rincon Indian tribe hopes to expand its 200-room resort in northern San Diego County with a 22-story tower that would have 500 hotel rooms.

"The $150 million project is awaiting final approval from the tribe's governing council and management of its corporate partner, Harrah's Entertainment Inc. of Las Vegas, tribal Chairman John Currier said. An environmental report is nearly complete.

"…The tribe hopes to build up, not out, to keep the project within the existing resort's 65-acre footprint…"
