California Tickets May Lead to Robbers30 March 2005CALIFORNIA – As reported by the San Bernardino Sun: "Winning lottery tickets often require matching numbers to claim the jackpot. "In the case of scratchers stolen during a deadly Highland robbery, detectives are looking for a payout from matching images on surveillance tapes. "Sheriff's detectives said a 17-year-old San Bernardino boy was captured on two liquor store surveillance cameras the night of March 16. "The first was at Cee Vee's Liquor and Couch Potato Video in Highland, where he shot and killed a store owner and clerk. The second was at a Corona 7-Eleven, where he arrived two hours later to cash the winning lottery tickets stolen from the Highland store. "…About two hours later, alleged getaway driver Darwin Lamont Richardson and the 17-year-old shooter, whose name was not released, visited the 7-Eleven to cash the winning scratchers, sheriff's officials said…" |
