California ticket wins Mega Millions jackpot14 May 2007UNITED STATES -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- One ticket has won it all. Somewhere there is a ticket worth an estimated $112 million. That ticket, which was purchased in Hawthorne, California, matched all six numbers in the May 11, 2007 Mega Millions drawing. The winning numbers were 28-30-33-48-54 and the Mega Ball number was 25. But that mega-winner was certainly not the only winning ticket in Friday's drawing. A total of 830,645 tickets won prizes including eight tickets that won $250,000*. Those tickets were purchased in California (1), Massachusetts (1), New Jersey (2), New York (3), and Ohio (1). The jackpot for the Tuesday, May 15, 2007 Mega Millions drawing is $12 million. Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time. |
