California Mega Million Ticket Wins Jackpot

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions has a mega-winner! One ticket sold in Anaheim, California matched all six numbers in the Tuesday, November 15, 2005 drawing. That ticket is now worth an estimated annuity value of $315 million.

The winning numbers were 02-04-05-40-48 and the Mega Ball number was 07.

Mega Millions fever has been building for the past few weeks. And Mega Millions didn't disappoint, with more than 2.8 million winning tickets in Tuesday's drawing alone. Nineteen of those tickets came within a heartbeat of hitting the jackpot by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California (3), Georgia (2), Illinois (1), Massachusetts (1), Maryland (1), Michigan (1), New Jersey (4), New York (4), Ohio (1) and Virginia (1).

The jackpot for the Friday, November 18, 2005 Mega Millions drawing is $12 million.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
