Calgary Casino Workers End Strike

CALGARY, Alberta – As reported by the CBC News: "A six-week strike by Casino Calgary workers is over, after employees voted 73 per cent in favour of returning to work.

"About 400 people walked off the job Sept. 23, demanding better wages.

"The new contract, retroactive to May 1, 2005, gives the casino staff a 4.5 per cent increase over two years.

"…Some employees will return to work Monday, the rest will be phased in over the next 10 days."
