Calder Race Course to open April 25

FLORIDA – As reported by the South Florida Business Journal: "Calder Race Course said it will open its season April 25, and hold live thoroughbred racing on 182 days through Jan. 2.

"The 2007 season will be the 37th for the Miami Gardens track, owned by Louisville, Ky.-based Churchill Downs Inc. (NASDAQ: CHDN).

"…Special events will include CaribbeanFest, with music and arts, on April 29 and free commemorative Barbaro T-shirts on Kentucky Derby Day, May 5…"
