Caesars Palace to host fourth annual Hoops and Hold'em Poker Series18 March 2014(PRESS RELEASE) -- Caesars Palace announces the schedule for the fourth annual Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series in conjunction with the NCAA Tournament. Poker players of all skill levels, 21 years of age or older are invited to join the daily events scheduled March 20 through March 30 and to watch the games in a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. “We are excited that the Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series is returning for our guests and locals,” said Bill ‘O’Connell, Poker Operations Manager at Caesars Palace. “This is the most exciting time of the year for college basketball, where any team has a shot at winning it all. Poker is also a game where anyone with a chip and a chair is a threat to take home the title. This is the ultimate place for sports fans and poker fans to come together to compete and show their skills.” The Hoops and Hold’em Poker Series kicks off at noon on Thursday, March 20 with a $130 buy-in No Limit Hold’em tournament. Tournament buy-ins range from $130 to the three-day $350 Championship Event which starts on Friday, March 28, 2014. Special events are scheduled throughout the tournament offering many forms of poker including No Limit Hold’em, and our ever popular, Double-Stack Turbo with a buy-in of $130. Please note that cash games and regular daily tournaments will still be occurring around the clock. Single table satellites for all events are offered daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Caesars Palace Poker Room features a selection of the most popular poker games including Texas Hold’em, Stud and Omaha. With more than 14,000 square feet, including a 6,000 square foot tournament area and 33 tournament tables, it is the largest poker room on the Strip. More than 20 large-screen high-definition TVs ornament the walls, along with original Leroy Neiman artwork and Neil Leifer photographs. An extensive menu, dedicated cocktail service, and complimentary Wi-Fi allow players to enjoy great food and drinks in such close proximity to the game. |
