Burswood Shares Rally

AUSTRALIA – As reported by the Age.com: "Burswood Ltd shares rallied after Perth's casino operator pleased the market by unveiling an unaudited first half 2003/04 operating profit of about $23 million.

"…The company's shares gained four cents, or 3.39 per cent, to close at $1.22 after announcing the higher than expected $23 million(US$17.36 million) unaudited result, boosted by a big win from high rollers.

"…[It] attributed its turn around to strong results in its domestic gaming operations, particularly from the casino's electronic games which include offerings such as 'crazy balls' and 'mountain chief'.
