Buffalo Sabres Owner Opposes Casino

BUFFALO, New York – As reported by the Buffalo News: "Buffalo Sabres owner B. Thomas Golisano said Tuesday that while he is late in opposing the Seneca Nation's new Buffalo Creek casino - and its "video crack" slot machines - he is willing to help the litigants suing to block the development in state and federal courts.

"…The Seneca Gaming Corp. has the legal authority, at this juncture, to build the Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino in the Cobblestone District, just paces from the arena where the Sabres take the ice.

"But anti-casino voices have grown louder in recent days, sparked by repeated disclosures in Seneca Gaming documents that its newest enterprise will cater primarily to Buffalo and its suburbs and not lure tourists from afar…"
