Bribery Case Could be End of Wembley

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the UK Evening Standard: "A director of the Wembley leisure group based at its huge Lincoln Park casino in the US was convinced future success depended on bribing a politician, a court has heard.

"In a case that could spell the end of Wembley, Daniel Bucci is accused of planning to bribe John B Harwood to get more licences for slot machines and prevent a rival casino being opened. Ex-Wembley chief executive Nigel Potter is also on trial.

"…If Wembley is found guilty, authorities in Rhode Island are likely to scrap its licence to trade, leaving the London-based company bereft of its main source of profits…"
