Brazil's Problem Gamblers Turn to Bingo

BRAZIL – As reported by the Ananova: "Psychologists and support groups who treat compulsive gamblers in Brazil say they've run out of patients since the country's bingo halls reopened.

"Thousands of people asked for help to treat their gambling addictions after Brazil's president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva closed down bingo halls in February.

"…Two support groups that used to meet every week at the Federal University of Sao Paulo have been cancelled because nobody showed up…"
