Boyd Gaming Consolidates Three Players Cards into One

4 December 2003

LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE: BYD) today announced its Players Gold Card as the new "gold standard" for slot and pit play at its three downtown gaming properties -- the Main Street Station Casino, Brewery and Hotel, the California Hotel and Casino and the Fremont Hotel and Casino.

Working in partnership with Bally Systems, Boyd Gaming developed and recently implemented its new system which links a single player's card to approximately 3,000 slot machines located within the three downtown Boyd Gaming properties. Under the new Players Gold Card system, accumulated points are tracked and consolidated on a single customer account, regardless of where play occurred.

"Many of our slot and pit customers enjoy visiting and playing at all three downtown properties," says John Repetti, Senior Vice President and Director of Operations for Boyd Gaming's Downtown Region. "Now they can do so with just one card. Our players have been asking for this simplified system and we're happy to be able to accommodate them."

With Boyd Gaming's new Players Gold Card, all play at any of the three properties counts toward redemption at all three properties. Customers can sign up and immediately receive the new black or gold membership card. Then, with no hassles or fuss, they are free to roam between the three Boyd Gaming properties at their leisure.

To pick up a new Players Gold Card or to sign up for Boyd Gaming's Players Gold membership program, visit the Players Gold Center at the California, the Fremont or Main Street Station in downtown Las Vegas.
