Botti at Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Chris Botti, the young man with a trumpet who creates a sensationally romantic sound, will appear at The Cabaret Theatre from Wednesday, October 17th through Sunday, October 21st. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday shows begin at 7:30pm; Saturday's show begins at 8:00pm; and Sunday's show begins at 7:00pm.

Chris Botti's 2004 CD When I Fall In Love made him one of the hottest young talents in the music business, taking him to the #1 spot on the Billboard Jazz charts. Botti's work not only regularly rides to the top of the Jazz charts, but has also crossed over to mainstream success on the Billboard 200 charts with a sound that has been embraced by audiences who appreciate his distinctive take on romantic ballads and standards. Live and in concert, Botti's charismatic presence adds to the luster. The show at Mohegan Sun follows on the heels of the scheduled release of his latest CD Italia in which he has partnered with Andrea Bocelli, Paula Cole, and the late Dean Martin for a versatile mix of music inspired by the magic of Italy. The CD also stretches his range into the operatic realm of Puccini, and to the rich soundtrack music of Italian master Ennio Morricone.
