Borgata to Open Outdoor Venue

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "…In a breakfast talk Tuesday before the Atlantic City Region Tourism Council, Mayor Lorenzo Langford detailed some new lures he and others hope will draw tourists to the resort this summer.

"Among them is the seasonal outdoor events area the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa soon will start building after the Planning Board's recent approval of the project.

"The summer venue - created with an eye toward competing with other casinos' beach bars - will be put up on an 8.1-acre lot adjacent to the Borgata's surface parking lot.

"…Beside a main stage and a smaller 'beach' stage, the venue also will feature three sand-filled areas - two with bars and one with a beach volleyball court - and two hot tubs.

"Nearby will be batting cages and a basketball court…"
