Borgata Plans $347 Million Tower

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey --As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "...Buoyed by phenomenal success in its first 15 months of operation, the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is planning a $347 million expansion that will add a new 45-story hotel tower to the megaresort.

"The tower will complement a previously announced $200 million expansion project that includes 500,000 square feet of casino space, new restaurants, nightclubs and retail attractions.

"...Borgata's new hotel tower will include 500 guest rooms, 100 suites and 200 luxury condominiums. Indoor and outdoor pools, a lavish spa and fitness center, new meeting space and retail shops also are proposed.

"Borgata, which already has 2,000 rooms, plans to start construction on the tower next July and have the project completed by the second quarter of 2007, according to a construction schedule outlined in CRDA documents..."
