Boomtown Casino buffet reopens with new look

"With more action than a John Wayne shootout, the new Boomtown Buffet has 10 cooking stations where chefs at the Asian California Wok prepare creative stir-frys and diners choose ingredients for a custom dish at the Fire and Ice Pasta Saute.

"...The $5 million renovations replaced the long buffet counters and open room with separate food stations that resemble a Western movie set, complete with barn board trim and tin roofs.

"...Around the edges of the room are the charbroiler, wood-burning pizza oven, mesquite smoker and carvery, the hand-breaded fryer where Southern-style chicken and fish are freshly prepared, and desserts from the Boomtown Bakery and hand-dipped ice cream.

"...The buffet reopens Saturday at 11 a.m. The new lunch buffet is $10.99, weekday dinner buffet is $15.99, Friday and Saturday dinner buffet is $21.99 and Saturday and Sunday Champagne Brunch buffets are$15.99. The grill and bakery are open 24 hours."
