Boomtown Biloxi to Host Grand Re-Opening June 29

15 June 2006

BILOXI, Mississippi – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Boomtown Biloxi said today that it will re-open ahead of schedule on Thursday, June 29 and that upon re-opening, patrons will experience an all-new, re-modeled interior and once again be able to enjoy the property's renowned 350-seat buffet featuring seafood favorites and a bakery outlet. The Boomtown Biloxi facility, owned by Penn National Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq: PENN - News), was closed in August 2005 due to damage sustained during Hurricane Katrina.

Operating 24-hours a day, seven days a week, Boomtown Biloxi will again offer an exciting entertainment experience with approximately 1,000 brand new slot machines and 22 table games. Many of the newest models of slot machines will be featured and all will be configured for ticket-in-ticket-out gaming, adding to customer convenience. The slot machines will also support Fast Draw, machine-issued promotional credits, and Boomtown is offering players an updated Players Club that will allow patrons to accumulate points faster than before. At Boomtown, parking will be easier than ever, with ample, convenient surface parking.

Through recent job fairs and recruiting programs, Boomtown Biloxi, has hired 760 people, including many of the employees who were responsible for the success of the property prior to the hurricane-related closing.

In early September, Boomtown will open its pier-based expansion with 400 additional slot machines and the 165-seat Overland Cafe, a full service restaurant to be open 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

Pat Murphy, VP and General Manager, commented "Boomtown was always known as the place to come for great entertainment, gaming, food and relaxation. Now, Boomtown is everything it is remembered for, only better. With all new decor, slots, restaurants and easily accessible parking, we look forward to attracting new patrons and welcoming back those who previously enjoyed Boomtown Biloxi."
