Bookies refuse Irish League bets26 April 2010NORTHERN IRELAND -- Bookies noted an irreglar betting pattern and have suspended bets on some Irish League matches, the BBC reported last week. One match in particular drew attention Distillery v Glenavon and has led to an internal inquiry by Glenavon, the BBC said. Bookies became suspicious when non regular punters began placing large bets on a single team, where the usual pattern would be multiple, modest bets, the BBC reported. |
