Blue Chip begins work on poker room

19 October 2006

INDIANA – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Work begins this week at Blue Chip Casino Hotel, Michigan City, Indiana, on the new poker room that is slated to open October 23, 2006 at 11:00 am. The room, with eight tables, will be open seven days a week, 24 hours a day and will feature a variety of games such as Seven Card Stud, Texas Hold'em and Omaha High/Low.

This gaming addition was in response to the surging popularity of poker over the past three years and guest demand. "Our guests have asked about it and we're happy to offer this additional gaming option. The eight-table room lends itself to personalized, spirited service," says Lynda Henson, Director of Table Games.

Blue Chip Casino Hotel, a Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE:BYD) property, is located on the shores of Lake Michigan on Highway 12 in Michigan City, IN. The new casino, completed in January 2006, features 65,000 square feet of gaming excitement on one level. An adjoining pavilion features four dining venues and an entertainment lounge. The 35-acre site also includes a 184-room hotel.
