Blackpool Unveils Plans

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Blackpool UK Stage: "Council has formally unveiled its plans to bid for a regional or super-casino to the Casino Advisory Panel later this month.

"The final document detailing the city's blueprint for a new conference and casino quarter will be entered before the final deadline of March 31 and will outline Blackpool's case to be chosen as the site for the UK's first and only so-called super-casino. Proposals for a regional casino were overwhelmingly accepted by the council with 35 votes in favour, none against and one abstention.

"…According to the local authority, a regional casino would help generate £2 billion of capital investment and extra 20,000 jobs…"
