Black Oak Casino Ready to Open

6 May 2005

TUOLUMNE, California – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Grand Opening Celebration at Black Oak Casino, scheduled to commence Monday, May 16, will feature endless excitement and fun for everyone with gaming action, live entertainment, bowling specials, new dining options, and a variety of ways to win cash and prizes throughout the week long celebration.

While the new gaming and family floors are already open to the public, the Grand Opening Celebration marks the Casino's 4th Anniversary since the original opening of the temporary casino in May of 2001. The Celebration also signifies the actual completion of the All New Black Oak Casino, including the signature third-story specialty restaurant, Seven Sisters.

The Grand Opening Celebration will kick off with the $50,000 Grand Opening Giveaway. Each Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m., Players Club members will spin to win thousands in cash by simply playing their favorite slots and table games to win entries. One guest per hour will have a chance to spin the Prize Wheel to win up to $5,000. If less than $10,000 is won each week, the remaining cash rolls over into the Grand Prize Night when one guest will be drawn to win the accumulated cash jackpot. Other cash and prizes will be awarded randomly every 30-minutes! The first drawing will take place on Thursday, May 19th at 6 p.m.

The new Black Oak Casino is loaded with ways to Strike It Rich! The new Phase II facility houses nearly 1,000 of the latest and most popular slot machines, plus two dozen of your favorite live-action card games. Monday, May 16 through Wednesday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., guests can rack up The Players Club at Black Oak Casino points with the "Points Express" promotion. A locomotive whistle will sound at random every hour and all Club members with their card in play will receive four times the usual Players Club points for the next five minutes. In addition, three lucky Players Club members will have a chance to grab as much cash as they can from the Storm of Cash Cube. One winner will be called each hour from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to enter the Cash Cube and grab their share of $5,000.

The public is invited to join Black Oak Casino from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 16th and Tuesday, May 17th, for a "Taste of Seven Sisters", offering the public a chance to sample many delicious items that will be featured on the Seven Sisters menu. Seven Sisters is a specialty-dining restaurant planned to seat approximately 80 guests.

Also on Monday, May 16th from 3 to 5 p.m., Parker Bohn, a PBA professional from Brunswick, will join guests at Black Oak Lanes, a 24-lane Brunswick bowling center equipped with a pro shop and locker room. At 5 p.m., he will give guests a bowling demo that will be followed by a Bowling Challenge with Bohn and Derek Gregory, a local PBA professional. Monday, May 16th through Thursday, May 19th, Black Oak Lanes will feature Cosmic Monte Carlo bowling with every red head pin strike good for a free game.

Dining at Black Oak Casino has never been better! Guests visiting the Black Oak Cafe Monday, May 16th through Friday, May 20th, may receive random $5.00 discount coupons valid for their dining check that day.

Table Games players can join the action with a free Table Games Tournament on Monday, May 16th from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Play seven hands and the high point winner from each table of seven players will win Casino merchandise and prizes.

Willow Creek Lounge is the perfect venue for live entertainment, with an expansive dance floor, cocktail seating, and gaming bar. Friends can join together Wednesday through Sunday for the best live entertainment in the area. Wednesdays from 7 to 10 p.m. guests can sing along with the house band during the Live Karaoke Gong Show. The Casino rocks with laughter on Thursdays from 8 to 10 p.m., with the Comedy Showcase featuring different touring comedians each week. Fridays and Saturdays host big name live entertainment. To kick off the Grand Opening week the Willow Creek lounge will feature, on May 14th, a concert with million selling classic rockers, Pablo Cruise.

On the Family Entertainment Floor (1st floor), guests have two family-friendly dining options to choose from: The Mill Sports Bar and Kingpins. The Mill Sports Bar offers alcoholic beverages and casual dining, with a large-scale video wall, interactive games area and telecasts a variety of sporting events. Kingpins is a counter-service casual family dining restaurant, serving quality burgers, pizza, and other tasty entrees.

Kids and adults alike can enjoy popular interactive video and redemption games spread out over 3,200 square feet in The Underground Arcade. Redemption games are featured for the younger players. During the first four days of the Grand Opening Celebration, kids can spin for five to 50 tokens on the prize wheel.
