Black Oak Casino Opens Restaurant

TUOLUMNE, California – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The all-new Black Oak Casino is proud to announce the opening of Seven Sisters, a signature restaurant located on the third floor of the Casino. With over 15 years of experience, Executive Chef Ed Wickman leads a team of seasoned sous chefs in providing a range of cuisine specialties, delivering a one-of-a-kind dining experience to Black Oak Casino guests.

The Seven Sisters atmosphere is elegantly comfortable with slate floors, African burl wood paneled walls, windows that run from floor to ceiling, and a torch lit patio for outdoor dining. The cuisine is exceptional, portions generous, and the servers excellent. Restaurant specialties are sophisticated dishes including, seafood, steak, lamb, and vegetarian. Also available are custom dessert and appetizer platters and extraordinary wine selections featuring both Californian and European, complementing both sweet and savory delights.

"Our focus in Seven Sisters is quality of food and service. We crafted our menus based on local seasonal ingredients along with an international flair of cooking techniques," said Executive Chef Ed Wickman. "From our seeded ten grain bread, sake glazed prawns, herb crusted rack of lamb with a creamy potato risotto to our warm apple firecracker and classic creme brulee we tantalize the palate as your imagination travels through a culinary journey."

Wickman brings to Black Oak Casino an exceptional career serving celebrities and dignitaries at HBO, The Plaza Hotel, Merrill Lynch, Hyatt and Marriot hotels. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University where his professional training began.

An accomplished leader in the hospitality industry, Wickman's award-winning culinary styles include: French, Classical, Pacific Rim Cuisine, Italian, Nouveau dishes, English Classical, American Regional, and International Cuisine, including both hot and cold entrees.
