Black Oak Casino Gaming Floor Opens

TUOLUMNE, California – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians and Black Oak Casino Management celebrate a major milestone today with the opening of the main gaming floor at the All-New Black Oak Casino.

The official grand opening celebration of Phase II at Black Oak Casino is scheduled for Monday, March 7, 2005. However, as of today, the slot machines, table games, and 24-hour restaurant have been moved to the new casino building and will be open to the public while the remaining floors are being completed. Once construction is finished, the grand opening celebration will begin.

Starting today at 5 p.m., guests can enjoy the bigger and better Phase II Casino gaming experience. The new facility houses 940 slot machines featuring the latest in technology and themes, as well as 24 of the most popular live action table games. Located on the second floor, the gaming area also features a non-smoking gaming area including the non-smoking Manzanita Bar.

Also new is the Willow Creek Lounge, a 250-seat live entertainment area with a dance floor and gaming bar. Tonight, guests will enjoy "Blue Note Jazz" with Jana, Leroy and Friends. Friday catch Night Fever, a 9 piece retro disco, R&B, and rock group from the East Bay and Saturday, listen to the contemporary country of the California Cowboys.

The lounge will feature a weekly Comedy Showcase on Thursdays starting Jan 20. Also, there will be weekly afternoon senior tea dances in the Lounge that will be called Dance at the Reflections Ballroom. Sunday will feature the Blue Note Jazz Series, and Friday and Saturday evenings will include country, blues, and adult contemporary dance music. Live entertainment is booked through February with some exciting acts including retro disco, R&B, contemporary country, jazz, comedy, and more Entertainment listings will be available on the Black Oak Casino website http://www.blackoakcasino.com.

Guests can feast 24-hours a day at the Black Oak Cafe, a cafe/buffet restaurant that seats over 200 guests. Themed buffets will be available weekly, including a Thursday evening Seafood buffet.

Starting January 19th, guests will also have access to the first floor of the casino featuring 53,000 square feet of fun for families and other fun- minded guests. The amenities include a sports bar, a 24-lane Brunswick bowling alley and pro shop, an arcade, and a family restaurant.

Scheduled to open in February, the third floor will feature Seven Sisters, a specialty-dining restaurant planned to seat approximately 80 guests. Enjoy a romantic evening on the outdoor covered patio overlooking Turnback Creek featuring torch lighting and the natural beauty that surrounds the Casino.
