Black Legislators Support Pennsylvania Gambling Bill

PENNSYLVANIA – As reported by the KYW1060: "African-American members of the state legislature say initial meetings with gambling industry officials on Monday went well.

"Concerned about opportunities for minorities, the lawmakers had indicated they might withhold their votes if and when a gambling bill comes before the legislature later this week.

"The minority lawmakers had planned to hold a news conference Monday afternoon to discuss their concerns, but canceled the event after the first meetings with gambling industry representatives resulted in progress…"
