Binion's Horseshoe Casino Robbed28 March 2003LAS VEGAS – As reported by KVBC TV: "47 seconds. That's how long the man who robbed Binion's Horseshoe spent inside the casino cage yesterday. It happened fast, but it doesn't happen often. News 3's Denise Rosch reports security officers still say armed robbery is fairly rare inside one of our casinos. "Certainly there have been a few high profile exceptions in recent years, but in general, security inside Las Vegas casinos is extraordinarily tight. As far as yesterday's caper at the Horseshoe, the suspect calmly walked out a back door and headed along 1st street. "…And history shows, casino robberies aren't exactly like in the movies. At the Horseshoe, it took one man less than a minute to get in and get out. "…Detectives won't say how much was taken from the Horseshoe." |
