Bingoport.co.uk reports halt in growth of U.K. online bingo industry25 July 2012(PRESS RELEASE) -- Bingoport’s exclusive Bingo Trends data has revealed a decrease of 6.1% in online bingo wagering from the January-March quarter, with an estimated £255,626,262 wagered on bingo tickets in the U.K. from April 1 to June 30, 2012. Since Bingoport’s verified industry data tracking commenced in June 2011, this is the first quarter to record a decline in bingo wagering and the decline is also replicated in player activity levels. Bingoport.co.uk Managing Director Scott Logan believes it is an accurate indication of the market being fully matured. “Obviously the April-June quarter has historically been impacted by the warmer weather and summer holiday season, but in previous years, ongoing growth of the industry has countered any reduction in activity during this period.
