Biloxi resort casino gives fresh look to dining experience

1 February 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Celebrate Lunar New Year with a refreshed dining experience at Jia, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino’s award-winning Pan-Asian restaurant. The venue has unveiled an epicurean journey that features new offerings including Noodles by Jia, a noodle bar that focuses on handmade vegetable, meat and seafood dishes with Vietnamese flavors and textures; the addition of modern-day East Asian cuisine selections to the full menu; and a variety of curated cocktails developed with a focus on seasonality and craftsmanship.

“Coastal Mississippi has a strong Vietnamese influence and we have infused local and Eastern culture culinary flavors to redevelop the Jia menu by delivering the finest product available while also focusing on simplicity and letting the food speak for itself,” said Beau Rivage Executive Chef Kristian Wade. “We also look forward to introducing a new Chef’s Table teppanyaki dining experience, so I encourage diners to explore the menu as we have an assortment of offerings to please any palate.”

The newly reimagined Jia, Japanese translation for “beautiful,” greets diners with an open, inviting and Zen-inspired space. Built to the left of the entrance is the restaurant’s focal point, a new 18-seat circular noodle bar with warm gold paneled accents and decorative lantern lighting. To its right, Jia’s chefs serve the freshest rolls, nigiri and sashimi on the Gulf Coast at the 14-seat sushi bar. In the expanded dining room, bright smoldering lanterns cast shadows from bamboo ceilings to the tables below and hand-glazed pottery by local artisans adorns the room. Renowned for its sushi, teppanyaki, and a la carte items, the reinvigorated restaurant allows guests to create an experience all their own. New offerings include:

Jia’s noodle bar offers a selection of authentic Vietnamese soups and noodle dishes with fragrant, flavorful and savory bowls that allow guests to customize the taste of their order. Highlights of the menu include Ph?, rice noodles served with onions, chili peppers, Thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, lime, hoisin and sriracha; Bún Bò Hu?, made with rice vermicelli, pork and beef; and Sichuan Dan-Dan, thin noodles topped with ground pork.

The noodle bar also features Bánh Mì, traditional Vietnamese sandwiches, dressed in pickled carrot and daikon, cucumber, cilantro, pate and mayonnaise, served on locally sourced bread from Henry’s Café & Bakery, a Vietnamese restaurant and sandwich shop.

New to Jia’s full dinner menu are light items such as Bò Tái Chanh (Rare Beef Salad) and Goi Tom (Steamed Shrimp Salad), along with shareable Bánh Xèo (Crispy Crepes) served with shrimp, pork belly, mung bean, turmeric, fresh herbs, onions, bean sprouts and lettuce in a crisp rice paper wrap.

Bold flavors designed to make the taste buds dance take the spotlight in Eastern cuisine staples with Bò Lúc L?c (Wok Fried Beef), Th?t Heo Kho (Braised Pork Belly), Com T?m Su?n Nu?ng (Grilled Pork) and Gà Roti (Roast Chicken). Cá Tuy?t Nu?ng Cha (Roasted Black Cod), Chem Chép Nu?ng M? Hành (Grilled Mussels), Cá Chiên X? (Whole Fried Snapper), Cá H?i Rang Mu?i (Crispy Salmon), Tôm Rang Mu?i (Crispy Shrimp) and M?c Rang Mu?i (Crispy Squid), all made with Fresno chiles, bell pepper, spring onion and salt and pepper, round out the new fish and seafood entrees.

Many Jia classics remain including its popular sushi menu and starters Edamame, Firecracker Shrimp, Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Pork & Ginger Pot Stickers. Wok mainstays include Lo Mein, Beef & Broccoli, General Tso Chicken, Szechuan Beef, and Kung Pao Chicken. Signature dishes such as Crab Fried Rice, Teriyaki Salmon and Buddhas Delight also return.

Along with signature favorites such as the Nikka Americano, Eastern Old Fashioned and Cherry Blossom Sazerac, Jia’s mixology team have added several new cocktails to the menu such as:
