Biloxi casino revenue down 26%17 October 2008BILOXI, Mississippi -- As reported by the Sun-Herald: "Hurricane Gustav didn't do a lot of damage to the Biloxi casinos when it flooded parts of the Coast over the Labor Day weekend, but the storm hit September casino revenue like a Category 3. "Gross casino revenue was down 26 percent for the month compared with September 2007 and 23 percent below August 2008. "The state figures, due out this week, will include the gross casino revenue of all 11 Coast casinos. "The Biloxi casinos closed early Aug. 31 as Gustav approached, and reopened throughout the day Sept. 3..." |
