Big Blues Bender ready for sixth annual show26 March 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- The sixth annual Big Blues Bender is shaping up to be the most electrifying yet, as more than a dozen additional performers have been confirmed for the lineup at this year’s festival. This annual, only-in-Vegas hotel takeover event will be held 5-8 September 2019 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, giving Blues fans the opportunity to see the biggest names in Blues music in an intimate event over the course of four days in the “Entertainment Capital of the World.” Additionally, four day tickets will go on sale this morning at 10 a.m. PT online. The group of newly added, top-notch performers includes: Gov’t Mule, Ronnie Earl and The Broadcasters, Guitar Shorty, Monster Mike Welch, Nick Schnebelen with Bender Brass, Joanna Connor, Sarah Grace (from NBC’s “The Voice”), Rev. Billy C. Wirtz, Dennis Jones, Ben Rice, Chris Tofield, Jon Shain (2019 IBC Solo Winner), Ms Hy-C and Fresh Start (2019 IBC Band Winner), Eric Johanson, The Moanin’ Blacksnakes, Vegas Strip Kings, and Bender Brass additions Matthew Johnson and Terry Dry. Big Blues Bender has become a festival favorite among Blues fans and artists alike, making it a “bucket-list” event for all who attend. Attracting fans from all 50 states and more than a dozen countries, the annual sell out event features the most talented and sought-after Blues artists touring today, performing on multiple stages with everything an elevator ride away! As the Blues’ most artist-friendly festival, the Bender will once again feature its popular fundraising event “Bender Party with HART!” on Wednesday, 4 September. Featuring a star-studded musical review and live auction, the event benefits the H.A.R.T. (Handy Artist Relief Trust) Fund. The Blues Foundation established the H.A.R.T. Fund for Blues musicians and their families in financial need due to a broad range of health concerns impacting artists. The Fund provides for acute, chronic and preventive medical and dental care as well as funeral and burial expenses. Big Blues Bender proudly produces the “Bender Party with HART!” at no expense to the charity. All production costs and artist fees are paid for by Big Blues Bender so that 100% of the proceeds benefit the community of artists in need, totaling over $80,000 raised to date. |
